Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TenerInfo operates a venue and events directory for the south of Tenerife, available as a mobile application and an online venue management portal. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@tenerinfo.app.

2. What data we collect and why

Mobile app users

• Location data — used only to show nearby venues and calculate distances on the map. This is processed on your device and is never stored on our servers. You can deny location permission at any time in your device settings.
• Push notification token — if you grant permission, we store a device token to send you reminders about events you've saved. You can revoke this in your device settings at any time.
• Saved places and events — stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.

The app does not require registration and does not collect your name, email, or any account data.

Venue partners (admin portal)

• Email address and password — used to authenticate your account in the venue management portal. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Business contact details — phone number, public email address, and website URL that you provide for your venue profile. These are displayed publicly in the app to allow customers to contact your venue.
• Event data — event names, descriptions, dates, and pricing that you create and manage through the portal. This data is displayed publicly in the app.

3. Legal basis for processing

• Contract performance — processing your account and venue data is necessary to provide the venue management service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — displaying business contact information in the app to help customers find and contact venues.
• Consent — location access and push notifications, where you have given explicit permission via your device.

4. Cookies

The venue management portal uses strictly necessary session cookies to keep you signed in. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are deleted when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.

We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. The mobile app does not use cookies.

5. Who we share your data with

• Supabase (supabase.com) — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored on servers within the EU. Supabase acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement in compliance with GDPR.
• Stripe (stripe.com) — used to process subscription payments for Featured venue listings. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and stores your payment card details directly. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Google Maps API — used to display the map and calculate distances in the mobile app. No personal data is shared with Google through this integration.

We do not sell your data to any third parties.

6. How long we keep your data

• Venue partner accounts and associated data are retained for as long as the account is active.
• When an account is deleted, associated personal data is removed within 30 days.
• Event data may be retained in anonymised form for historical records.

7. Your rights under GDPR

If you are based in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tenerinfo.app. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) at aepd.es.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to venue partners by email. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
